They Drank FISH POND WATER?

Sep 11, 2013 12:11:48 PM

Good morning!

At 6:21am on Thursday 5th, well ahead of a typical 109 ºF* day, our new "Big Dog" Aquaculture Model Q60 arrived at Aqua Farming Tech in Thermal, California.

Soon it was hooked up to a fish pond that our host, Rocky French, had thoughtfully left quite contaminated for our testing purposes ;-)

That was some very dirty fish pond water.

Big Dog quickly got to work and, well here you see it, Nicholas drinking lovely fresh water from a hose...

Our testing team confirmed it: Big Dog had quickly achieved 98.89% continuous ammonia removal!

Soon after that, operations manager Drew Davis drank from the hose too, and the camera assistant, and then, finally, our host, Rocky!

All agreed it tasted sweet.

There's lots more work to be done. Big Dog is back in the lab for modifications and will return in a few days.

We expect that yo-yo to go on for some time. That's what's so great about having 120 acres of fish ponds for testing, just three hours away!

The Permanent Showcase is gearing up on schedule. There is huge industry interest.

FLASH!

We are organizing a major trade demo event around the Showcase this fall.... including both aquaculture and algae harvesting systems for economical — and much healthier — fish feed.

Stay tuned right here.

Aquaponics Cover Story!

Just yesterday, September’s Aquaponics Survival Communities magazine went out with our cover story.

Very nice indeed!

This is an in-depth review of our technology — well worth the read even if you're not in the aquaculture business.

I trust you're having as exciting a September as we are!
