Tiffany Hsu of the LA Times reported today on our industry in a Business Page One article: "California clean-tech industry is booming". There's a photo of our in-house pilot system, and a nice quote:

"We love being in L.A.," said Riggs Eckelberry, chief executive of algae biofuel company OriginOil Inc. in Los Angeles. "With access to a huge infrastructure of resources in this town … there's not a single thing we can't get."

And that is true.

2 Billion Hiroshimas? It was in my blog! I write regularly on developments in 'clean and green' technology.

The other day I reported that "the total heat that was added to the oceans between 1993 and 2008 is equivalent to the energy that would be released by exploding about 2 billion Hiroshima-scale atomic bombs." Amazing.

The blog is now in a shiny new location, www.originoilceo.com! Just click here to start getting my updates -- or simply follow me on Twitter.
