What’s This About Acquisitions?
Good morning!
On the Big Biz Show yesterday, I discussed our plan to acquire service companies treating frack water. Watch the show now.
What’s that all about? Here’s the story.
Busy in Texas
Since we opened our Houston office, we have been very welcome in that town. Bill Charneski isn’t just a Dow Chemical veteran, he’s a Dow Chemical veteran in Houston. And… Lee Portillo, our able VP of Engineering, is from Texas!
All that makes a big difference, we’ve learned.
This means we get to talk to a lot of prospects in the oil and gas industry these days. Lots of licensing deals await the thousand-barrel demonstrations starting soon…
The end-user majority
Here’s the rub: many of the people we talk to will never be licensees.
They just want their own frack water cleaned quickly and economically.
These people can’t wait for months while one of our licensees tools up for them.
By then, they could well go to a competitor.
So we want to help them now.
Of course, we’re not an oil service company, and don’t have the time to build a service company ourselves. We want to stay focused on licensing.
So the answer is to acquire already-profitable service companies to serve the fast-growing demand for frack water treatment.
It’s an exciting new direction, and meanwhile everything we do continues as before, including the Thousand-Barrel Roadshow… which launches on May 27th in Delta, Colorado.
