We’ve Changed Our Name!
Good morning!
This is your last message from my OriginOil address.
Yes, we’ve changed our name. I’ll explain why in a moment.
But… If you didn’t see yesterday’s announcement, then probably emails from the new OriginClear domain are landing in your spam folder.
So… let’s fix that.
Just look in Spam, or Junk, and “whitelist” the originclear.com domain. And mark me as a “safe sender”.

Why the name change?
It’s simple: now that we’re successfully clarifying waste water of all kinds, it’s no longer just about oil.
In fact, that’s kind of confusing. So, we adopted a name that says what we do, and why.
As my brother wrote yesterday:
“Recent third party testing has shown that our technology reduces all measures of non-soluble contamination to very low, or undetectable levels, essentially making the water clear,” said Nicholas Eckelberry, co-founder and chief research officer. “That, then, is our mission and our name.”
Potential Acquisitions
In that announcement, I also wrote:
“We previously stated our intention to acquire profitable companies in our sector. We believe the new name will help us integrate a wider variety of companies under the OriginClear brand.”
What an exciting concept… a family of profitable water treatment companies under one brand.
The Solar3D story
Here’s a story about a technology company like ours. (Before I go on, please remember that I can’t represent we will achieve anything like this. Anything could happen, and probably will!)
My friend Jim Nelson, who runs technology company Solar3D, acquired a profitable, and growing, solar installation company, about a year ago. And then another.
The result was dramatic, and Solar3D is now, with its family of companies, on the NASDAQ.
Jim did a great job, and is to be congratulated! He is paving the way for other companies like ours.
Again, I’m not saying that we are the same, and that we will even have the same experience. So please take this as what it is, an instructive story.
