The photo that shocked “Sully” Sullivan
This “before and after” picture astonished Sully on his Big Biz Show this morning.
Especially when I told him that fish live in the water on the right.
It’s the problem of fish farming: how to keep the ammonia down (from fish urine), and how to kill off the bacteria and viruses.
They try hard; fish husbandry has improved dramatically in recent decades.
But they still use tons of antibiotics (that end up in your fish); and there’s no real solution to the ammonia problem.

Prototype success!
Yesterday, the team successfully tested the new aquaculture prototype!
They showed that we can clean up that fish farm water at up to 15 gallons per minute.. and that’s in a tabletop unit.
That is some massive throughput. At less than 900 watts, it can even be powered by solar. You just hook it up to a fish pond and let it recirculate. You can convert the ammonia to nitrates, if you like, to fertilize an algae pond.

We plan to take this rig to a working fish farming site in the first week of June, for field testing.
