The Hottest Trends for 2011

Nov 24, 2010 1:29:55 PM

From: Riggs Eckelberry

Good morning!

It's official: algae is 2011's hottest bio-crop. That's what industry professionals said in a Biofuels Digest/BIO poll released yesterday.

In the same poll, they said that domestic biofuel production as a secure fuel source is a top trend for 2011, with military markets (and oil companies) showing fastest-growing interest in biofuels.

National security -- that's very good news, especially with an emphasis on algae. You can read more about the poll results here.

Exciting times indeed.

Enjoy the break... and if you're outside the US, please raise a glass to us tomorrow!
