Malaysia Takes Off!

Mar 31, 2016 9:00:00 AM

Good morning!

We thought China happened fast... Malaysia is even faster!

Noxious palm effluent

It's about the palm oil.

When you make palm oil, you contaminate a lot of water. It's called POME, or Palm Oil Mill Effluent.

The more than 400 palm oil mills in Malaysia (and many more throughout Southeast Asia), need help to clean up that water.

The great news is, they know it, and they want the help!

So when "JL" Kindler, President of OriginClear Technologies, arrived in Kuala Lumpur last week, his dance card was full.

Fast-growing partner

Two veterans of GE Water founded their company just five years ago. They've already become a regional player, with offices in Singapore and Vietnam. They're our partners in our Malaysian Joint Venture and they are well connected.

They got to work right away.

Here's the result, in JL's words:

"for POME effluent treatment only, the potential end-user value of immediately visible projects is estimated to be over US$7,000,000."

And we have a piece of every dollar.

Black water

Just as in China, there is also the terrible problem of 'black water', rainwater that passes through landfills and emerges as a nasty brew that easily clogs most equipment.

Because we're next generation, we are estimated to be about half of the competition’s price. This is a major advantage for our joint venture!

Smaller is better

In the past we've built big. Our biggest demo machine is designed to treat up to 3000 barrels per day, or more than 120,000 gallons!

Only one problem: it costs way too much to move "Big Bertha" around.

So, our own Andrew Davies built a small, wall-mounted demo unit. And that's what we're using in Malaysia to test waters and close deals.

What you see in this photo is our entire process, in miniature. Looks simple, but there's a lot of electronics behind the white panel.

Osmocell Demo Unit

These engineers were extremely pleased with the results of the tests they did last week!

Engineers and scientists can run any water sample through the machine, and get the precise outcome.

Over the next weeks and months, expect to see more wins from precision technology, delivered to ready-and-waiting partners... in Malaysia and elsewhere.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
