Blasé about sales? I don’t think so!

In last week’s briefing, I reviewed a large order that Progressive Water Treatment (PWT) recently booked with a American power utility*.

Important: orders are not revenue! These large projects may be modified in scope over time and are expected to take many months to complete. There are risks in any large contract and you should not base your investing decisions on our booked orders.

PWT is no stranger to power plant contracts

A few years ago, Minnesota-based public utility Xcel Energy (NYSE:XEL), awarded PWT a $1.8 million contract for a boiler feedwater treatment system; a power plant in the Northeast awarded PWT a $700,000 contract; and that same year, PWT completed the installation and successful launch of a twin 300 gallon per minute ultra-filtration membrane system for Otter Tail Power Company at its Coyote Station in Beulah, North Dakota.

Diversification

Marc Stevens reports that in the meantime, PWT has diversified.

I recently counted 28 jobs on the floor; so the new power plant business comes as a bonus to already-great production by the PWT and MWS teams.
