How One Award Could Become Two
Good morning!
The American Biofuels Leadership Conference is next week, in Washington, DC.
On Monday evening, I’ll be accepting the Top 100 People in the Bioeconomy award from Biofuels Digest editor Jim Lane. We’re honored.
How could this become two awards, you ask?
Well, we are ALSO leading our category in the Transformative Technologies for 2014 poll!
This poll is entirely being done in social media, and anyone can vote, once every day…Yes, you can vote every day!
Here’s the page where you can hit your Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn account right now. It’s super easy. And do it tomorrow, too.
Just two days to go…
But voting ends at midnight East Coast time on the 18th – that’s tomorrow… So you can vote just twice: today, and tomorrow.
Click the link and vote now on all your social media accounts… yes, all of them! Today and tomorrow!
You will ensure that we take home not one, but two awards at Monday’s gala reception!
OriginOil: Biofuels Digest’s 2014 5-Minute Guide
Throughout this poll, Biofuels Digest has published 5-minute guides to the companies listed.
Here’s ours. It’s worth reading. Here’s an excerpt:
Bottom line: [OriginOil] has correctly judged that, like Levi Strauss making jeans for gold rush miners, that there’s a substantial business opportunity in serving the emerging algae producers with hot technologies for separation and extraction, and has smartly expanded its focus out to existing industries, such as aquaculture, waste remediation and oil & gas, that are already at scale. |
Beautiful.
Showcase Flash!
The California Petro Showcase has now expanded into… the Thousand-Barrel Roadshow!
Now instead of just California, we are sending “Big Bertha” (our hot new P1000 unit) to showcases in Colorado, Texas AND California!
Along the way, we’ll stop at prospect sites between. Like Tulsa, OK.
It’s called the Thousand-Barrel Roadshow because the P1000 is designed to process 1,000 barrels of contaminated water a day… (photos here)
On the Big Biz Show yesterday, I showed exclusive pics of the site in Houston where we plan to have our main Texas showcase. That’s ground zero for the industry and the petro-media!
Feed the world with algae
Also on the Big Biz Show, I previewed some slides from the presentation that Nicholas will be giving at European Algae Biomass 2014, on 6-7 May in Seville, Spain.
We’re getting huge response from the “algae for feed” message. Producers and other players are jockeying for a piece of this hot new world commodity.
We’re making sure that our harvester is used widely as the way to extract algae rapidly and economically for feed.
Here are the preview slides (also shown here on Facebook):
Enjoy the weekend. Don’t forget to vote!!
