Jose Sanchez Piña, OriginOil’s VP of Quality Assurance and Services, outlines how OriginOil’s EWS Algae technology is a triple solution for the aquaculture industry, and how EWS Aqua removes ammonia and bacteria from the water.

Jose Sanchez Piña, OriginOil’s VP of Quality Assurance and Services, addresses the Pacific Rim Summit. In his presentation he outlines how OriginOil is controlling metabolic processes in asthaxantin, and how we are applying our technology to aquaculture.

With this presentation, the Ennesys team won the “Coup de Coeur” (Love at First Sight) Award at PwC’s Accelerator’s Fourth “Local to Global” Expo, held in Luxembourg on 24 October.

After receiving the findings of the Innovation 2030 Commission from chairperson Anne Lauvergeon, President Hollande visited Ennesys, praising it as an innovative startup with a technology ready to propel France toward meeting its ambitious renewable energy and green building goals. In a speech to the nation made at Ennesys (official video), President Hollande praised Ennesys as an innovative startup, and listened to this presentation by Pierre Tauzinat, Ennesys CEO, which outlined the company’s competitive advantages.

William Charneski, Chief Operating Officer of OriginOil, presented the Water Management Value Chain and OriginOil’s pay-by-the-barrel Throughput Program. The presentation details the cost of water management with and without water treatment for recycling for beneficial uses. It also details the benefits and logistics of the Throughput Program.

Jose Sanchez Piña, OriginOil’s VP of Quality Assurance and Services, addresses the Algae Biomass Summit. He outlines how the algae industry can achieve true economy of scale by adopting the heterotrophic “jump” in its production, and how OriginOil’s EWS Algae™ technology can not only harvest efficiently, but assure continuous viability of algae cultures in the growth stage.

Jose Sanchez, GM of OriginOil’s Algae Division, addresses the European Algae Biomass Conference in Vienna, Austria. He details how the OriginOil Algae Appliance can ensure efficient harvests, extend shelf life, and also help sanitize cultures for growth and disposal. He also outlines how the algae industry can achieve a $66 per barrel production cost for biocrude.

Jose Sanchez, General Manager of OriginOil’s Algae Division, reviews the state of the algae industry, outlines OriginOil’s algae harvesting solution and its savings over other methods, the critical importance of microbiological control in algae harvesting, and “What can OriginOil to for Algaepreneurs?” OriginOil, he says, can help by reducing “the drama of contamination”, providing sanitized carbon waste products for boost phase production, and helping dispose of GMO strains properly.

Jose Sanchez, General Manager of OriginOil’s Algae Division, asks “Is 2013 for the Algae Industry the same as 1905 was for Petroleum Industry or 1980 was for the Computer Industry?” He proposes the following steps: 1. Choose the right product that will make you be profitable, 2. If your product is fuels, carry out a three stage project, 3. Choose the right algae production technology for your product, 4. Choose the right process for your product; and outlines “A Plan Specifically Tailored for Europe”. He closes by saying, “The Year of the Algae will come when one producer succeeds in obtaining algae based products at the same or more competitive prices than conventional agriculture or petroleum.”

OriginOil Senior Director of Product Engineering Bill Charneski discussed the DOE Biomass Program, including biomass specifications, the use of blended feedstock and algae’s role in this blend. Next, he presented the results of an OriginOil Productivity Model which included the cost of produce fuel from various blended biomass feedstock, the cost of algae biomass production and a comparison of various harvesting technologies. He also discussed OriginOil technology and the new OriginOil Algae Appliance Model 4 and Model 20.
