U.S. Firm Begins Commercializing Process for Algae-to-Oil

Publicly traded biotech firm OriginOil (Los Angeles, CA) says it is commercializing a ‘breakthrough’ technology for generating algae from biofuel. The process uses ultrasound and electromagnetic pulse to break down the algal cell walls and release oils which occur naturally in the organism.
