Minnesota-based public utility Xcel Energy has awarded OriginClear Inc’s Progressive Water Treatment Inc (PWT) a contract valued at nearly US$2 million for a boiler feedwater treatment system.

“We believe this contract, and numerous others like it, validates OriginClear’s decision to acquire Progressive Water Treatment,” said Bill Charneski, president of the OriginClear Group.

The smooth start-up, and the support since, have placed PWT in a position as a top supplier to Delek.

Under the MOU, Mr. Xu committed to payments totaling $1 million over two months to purchase the rights to the JV, and has already completed the first payment to OCHK of $150,000.

The planned joint venture (JV) is expected to deploy OriginClear’s Electro Water Separation (EWS) technology for first-stage water clarification of agricultural effluents....

“Horizon City is now able to use this water as a source for drinking water,” reports Marc Stevens, President of PWT, a subsidiary of water treatment solutions provider OriginClear Inc.

PWT is the first company in the newly formed OriginClear Group of water service companies and is a designer, builder and service provider for a wide range of industrial water treatment applications. OriginClear acquired PWT in August.

PWT expects to report 2015 revenues of more than US$6 million. Based on the current backlog of orders, PWT believes it will achieve revenues of more than US$7 million in 2016.

The first payment of $100,000 was made in accordance with a binding investment schedule.

OriginClear recently signed a definitive agreement to acquire Dallas-based Progressive Water Treatment, a profitable systems integrator forecasting US$6 million in 2015 revenues.
