OriginOil Inc., a developer of a technology to transform algae into oil, appointed of Dheeban Kannan as senior research engineer. As part of his doctoral thesis, Kannan invented a solid catalyst process for the production of biodiesel, which is the basis of a patent and the core technology of a biodiesel startup company, according to L.A.-based OirginOil.
