– Top International News Syndicate Covers OriginOil’s Recent Technological Breakthroughs –
Los Angeles, CA – April 30, 2009 – OriginOil, Inc. (OOIL), the developer of a breakthrough technology to transform algae, the most promising source of renewable oil, into a true competitor to petroleum, was recently featured by the internationally-renowned news service, Associated Press (AP) Television, as a part of the syndicate’s continued coverage on new and developing biofuels.
During a visit to OriginOil’s Los Angeles headquarters earlier this month, a film crew interviewed both CEO Riggs Eckelberry and Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Vikram Pattarkine, regarding the company’s recent technology breakthrough to extract oil from algae in an efficient single-step process. A time-lapse video of the extraction process was then sent out to the Associated Press’ newspaper affiliates, which encompass more than half of the world’s population on any given day.
Eckelberry concluded: “We are honored that AP Television, which provides programming for more than 130 countries and 1 billion readers, listeners, and viewers worldwide, has chosen to feature our company in its report on the algae industry. Now that we’ve cracked the first part of the code to creating wide-scale production of algae oil, we must continue to expand our research initiatives so that we will be able to bring our technology to all areas of the globe.”
