OriginClear Harvests Highly-Concentrated Algae For Soil Enrichment
Tests by partner AlgEternal indicate algae may reduce conventional fertilizer cost up to 40 percent
Los Angeles, CA and Weimar, TX – July 7, 2015 – OriginClear Inc. (OTC/QB: OOIL), developer of breakthrough water cleanup technology, and partner AlgEternal, today announced that, based on AlgEternal’s field tests, it believes that its pure algae concentrate, harvested with OriginClear technology, may reduce conventional fertilizer cost by up to 40 percent.
AlgEternal reported these findings following field testing at its agricultural facility in Weimar, Texas, where an array of its bioreactors fed raw algae to an OriginClear EWS A25 Algae Harvester. (demonstration video here)
“Our proprietary Vertical Growth Module™ system grows algae rapidly,” said Hugh Morris, AlgEternal CEO. “But we’ve learned that the only effective way to concentrate the green water and harvest algae effectively is with OriginClear’s Electro Water Separation™, or EWS extraction system.”
“Preliminary results from our long-term testing on multiple crops at our site in Weimar, Texas indicate that using pure algae concentrate as a soil conditioner may increase yields and reduce fertilizer costs,” added Morris. “We are working with Texas A&M and other institutions to further validate our findings.”

According to AlgEternal, its patent-pending, closed-loop, Vertical Growth Module (VGM™), has undergone seven years of rigorous research and development improvements.
