Advanced Algae Center
Here's the link to yesterday's MoneyTV, where I discussed our second major field project, at the site of the original Dept. of Energy Aquatic Species Program that ran from 1978 to 1996. We will be paid to help build the facility, which will serve everyone in algae, securely and without bias.
Yes, the show featured the usual 'alien jokes' about the Roswell location... Watch it here.
Political Outlook for Algae
Also in the same interview, I discussed how the Department of Defense is doing so much to support algae development. "Energy Independence" and "National Security" are non-partisan ideas that will continue to propel the algae rollout.
The new political climate pushes back against older, less efficient technologies and favors investments to make cleantech more affordable. I reported on this direction on my blog here. This is very positive for algae, the ultimate biofuel.
Hottest 50 Companies in Bioenergy
The polls have closed, and we came in twelfth in the subscriber voting! Your support made it possible for us to rank right up there with Cargill, BP Biofuels, Chevron and many more.
The international selectors have voted for a much wider group of companies, which will affect our standing - but by how much? We will see on Tuesday, December 7...
World Algae Congress USA 2010
On that same day, I will be speaking at the World Algae Congress USA 2010 in San Francisco, details here
Let me know if you would like to attend, as I can pass on a 15% discount.
